Job summary

Tech Rakers Inc. is seeking a Senior Data Protection Engineer (Cloud) for a remote W2 role. You will lead cryptographic and cloud security initiatives across a portfolio of technologies, mentoring peers and collaborating with product teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions for financial services.

You will assess risks, implement encryption and key management, and contribute to governance standards. Strong experience in cryptography, cloud-native tech, and security tooling is required.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of experience in Cyber Security.
• At least 2 years of Cryptography experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in Cloud Native technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• At least 2 years experience in Unix/Linux system administration.
• At least 2 years with HSMs (FutureX/Thales).
• At least 2 years with certificate lifecycle managers (Venafi/Digicert).
• At least 2 years with HashiCorp Vault or similar.
• At least 1 year of experience with Cortex XSOAR.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects with cryptography and distributed microservices.
• Mentor other engineers and participate in internal/external tech communities.
• Collaborate with Cyber product managers and architecture for cloud-based security features.
• Assess security risks, especially data confidentiality and integrity, and identify vulnerabilities.
• Develop cryptographic solutions and manage keys securely across enterprise offerings.
• Mature governance framework for cryptography with clear policies and auditability.
