Job summary

Strategic Staffing Solutions seeks a Cloud Engineer to lead a portfolio of cryptography and data protection projects. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum 2 years experience with cryptography-related technologies.
• Minimum 3 years of Cybersecurity Engineering experience.
• Minimum 2 years of cloud-native technologies (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Minimum 2 years of Unix/Linux system administration experience.
• Minimum 2 years of SELinux experience.
• Minimum 2 years of Protegrity Data Protection experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with Ansible Automation Platform.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with Terraform Enterprise.
• Strong understanding of data protection, encryption, and cryptographic security concepts.
• Experience in mission-critical enterprise security environments.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, cybersecurity, architecture, and product teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects as part of an engineering team focused on cryptography, data protection, distributed systems, and cloud-based security solutions.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity Product Managers, architects, and engineering teams to design and deliver comprehensive cloud-based security solutions.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for Protegrity Data Protection in a mission-critical data protection environment.
• Assess security risks related to data confidentiality and integrity by identifying vulnerabilities and evaluating cryptographic and cybersecurity threats.
• Design and implement robust cryptographic solutions using encryption, hashing, digital signatures, and secure key management techniques.
• Develop and enhance enterprise governance frameworks for cryptography, including policies, standards, and guidelines.
• Manage and support Protegrity Data Protection solutions within a large Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) server environment.
• Develop and maintain Ansible automation to support lifecycle management of Protegrity agent software.
• Utilize Terraform Enterprise to support AWS serverless deployments and integrations with Protegrity Cloud Protector.
• Implement and support Protegrity Fuse File Encryption technologies for data-at-rest protection.
• Maintain, enhance, and support Protegrity Data Protection policies.
• Support integrations between Protegrity and enterprise data management platforms such as Snowflake and Teradata.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to technical communities while helping mentor other members of the engineering team.
• Develop, review, or evaluate code and scripts as required to support security engineering and automation initiatives.
