Job summary

Humana Inc. is seeking a Senior Cloud Solutions Engineer to lead the development and operations of Enterprise API platforms such as Apigee within our Hybrid IT environment (cloud and on‑prem).

You will design, plan, implement, and support API management and integration across teams, driving secure, scalable solutions. You will build CI/CD pipelines, work with architects on deployments, monitor platforms, and translate technical work into business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent.
• 5 years hands‑on experience in Enterprise API Management and Integration Platforms like APIGEE, IBM APIC etc.
• 3 years of hands‑on cloud engineering experience (Azure, AWS and/or GCP).
• Experience in cloud architecture (cloud infra, storage, networking, security, costing).
• Expertise in Azure and GCP tools, and admin scripts (Bash/Terraform).
• Experience installing, configuring, deploying, and maintaining API Management platforms like APIGEE; proficient in developing APIs in APIGEE.
• Experience with Postman, JMeter etc.
• Good understanding of XML, JSON, SOAP/REST, OAuth 2.0, JWT, SSO, XML/JSON transformations, logging policies, caching.
• Knowledge of CI/CD for Apigee.
• Expertise in Kubernetes for deployment, scaling, management.
• Experience with containerization.
• Highly self‑motivated and detail‑oriented.
• Motivated to learn new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Implements Enterprise API platforms strategy from a technical perspective across hybrid (cloud & on‑prem).
• Develop specifications for new IT cloud computing products and services for Enterprise API Engineering and API Platform deliverables.
• Implement API solutions using API Management platforms like Apigee with proxies, rate limiting, security, analytics.
• Monitor and manage Enterprise API and Integration platforms environments including networks, systems, and applications.
• Set up CI/CD pipelines to ensure secure integration and delivery of new features.
• Collaborate with API/Integration architects on design, implementation, testing, deployment and support.
• Facilitate development and communication of solutions to technical and business stakeholders.
• Identify dependencies and roadblocks and work with cross‑functional teams to remove them.
