Job summary

Accountix, Inc. is a Santa Barbara-based outsourced accounting firm serving nonprofits and growing businesses. The Senior Financial Professional owns client relationships, runs monthly reviews, and prepares materials for boards and audits.

You’ll lead cash flow conversations, own budgeting, and help onboard new clients onto our systems and workflow. The role evolves toward CFO-level strategy with coaching to grow into that path.

Qualifications

• Experience in CAS, outsourced accounting, or fractional accounting, with multiple clients.
• Deep QBO knowledge with accrual close, financial statement review, and class/project tracking.
• You have led client meetings and explained financials to non-accountants.
• You interact with executive directors, business owners, and board members.
• You can delegate work and review it for quality.

Responsibilities

• You own a portfolio of nonprofit and growing business clients and manage the entire relationship.
• You run monthly financial review calls and explain changes and their impact to clients.
• You prepare financials for board meetings, Finance Committee meetings, and audits.
• You lead cash flow conversations and own budgeting.
• You help onboard new clients onto our systems and workflow.
• You may work with a Client CFO on strategy, forecasts, and modeling on larger engagements.
• You contribute to shaping how we operate and streamline reporting processes.
