Mercury Insurance is seeking a Claims Examiner (Non-CA) to evaluate, negotiate, and settle low to high complexity bodily injury claims. You will conduct thorough investigations to determine liability, damages, and injuries, and apply state laws across multiple states.

Remote work is supported, with a focus on delivering excellent customer experience and regulatory compliance. Essential duties include negotiation, documentation, and coordination with legal counsel to move claims toward

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma or GED; may require company-sponsored Adjuster’s license.
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree.
• Minimum: 3+ years experience in investigating, negotiating, and settling moderately to highly complex claims.
• Preferred: knowledge of medical and legal terminology and applicable laws.
• Must be able to work remotely with self-motivation.

Responsabilités

• Proactively negotiate, settle, and authorize payment for complex injury claims with counsel or parties.
• Investigate and analyze medical records and law enforcement reports.
• Conduct witness interviews to determine claim value and reserves, evaluating liability and risk.
• Research and respond to customer inquiries to ensure satisfaction and retention.
• Coordinate with medical/technical experts and outside counsel to move claims toward resolution.
