Job summary

The Vita Coco Company is seeking a Senior Category Manager to lead category strategy across Grocery, Natural, and Drug channels, with direct ownership of Kroger, Albertsons, and the Drug Channel. This remote role reports to the Senior Director of Category & Consumer Insights.

You will drive data-based storytelling, collaborate with Sales, and coach a team to deliver retailer-winning insights and visuals.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of category management experience
• Experience with 84.51 required
• Significant experience with scanning data sources such as Circana or NIQ
• Proficiency with panel data sources (Numerator, Circana, retailer data)
• Experience with JDA or other space planning software
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Curiosity for natural + functional beverage trends and strategy
• Continuous improvement mindset to understand what's working
• Proactivity and willingness to go above and beyond to achieve results

Responsibilities

• Own the crafting of category strategy for Grocery, Natural, and Drug retailers
• Coach and develop a team of direct reports
• Develop retailer-specific selling materials and category visuals
• Collaborate cross-functionally to drive business growth
• Establish relationships with external Insights partners for recurring connects
• Present retailers with opportunities and insights they may miss
• Partner with Sales to enhance business management capabilities
• Drive strategy and thought leadership with innovative thinking
• Monitor and analyze shelving, pricing, assortment, and merchandising to identify growth opportunities
