Job summary

C.A. Fortune is seeking a Category Manager to lead advanced analytics and category insights for retailers and channels, with a focus on Albertsons and national coverage. Fully remote option with Boise, ID base.

The role drives pricing, promotion, distribution, and shelf placement analytics while supporting business reviews and client consulting. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in the CPG space, deep data platform expertise, and strong storytelling to influence go-to-market decisions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree plus 5+ years of CPG industry experience.
Advanced proficiency in data platforms and analytics.
Strong skills in data storytelling and selling story development.

Responsibilities

Define and implement an advanced BI strategy aligned with the Insights Pillar, supporting top clients with reporting and reviews.
Drive proficiency in key analytical tools and methodologies to uncover business opportunities.
Develop category management strategies aligned with client KPIs and merchandising principles.
Create fact-based category reviews, business reviews, and selling stories integrating various insights to guide decisions.
Lead and present business reviews and strategic recommendations to clients and retailers.
Partner with sales teams to develop presentations on new items and assortment strategies.
Conduct post-promotional analyses to ensure ROI and align with best practices.
Cross-functional collaboration as insights partner across category management, sales, and marketing.
Refine reporting, distribution void identification, and opportunity gap quantification to drive efficiency.
