Job summary

PTC seeks a Senior Technical Content Engineer to turn CAD/PLM capabilities into compelling demos, videos and stories. You will present at live and virtual events, create technical content, and translate features into business value for engineers, IT teams and executives.

You will work with Onshape marketing and pre-sales, collaborating with Marketing, Sales and Product teams, and you will craft educational material and hands-on demonstrations of the latest features.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on CAD experience (Onshape and/or SolidWorks preferred)
• Experience with PDM/PLM tools such as SolidWorks PDM, Teamcenter or Windchill
• Proven presentation and live software demo skills for technical and executive audiences
• Ability to translate technical capabilities into business value
• Strong written communication skills
• Comfort creating and appearing in video content and an interest in editing
• Passion for CAD and design and enthusiasm for sharing it
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field preferred
• Experience with video editing tools like Premiere Pro or Camtasia
• Experience with Arena PLM or Windchill
• Experience building integrations via APIs (REST) and scripting

Responsibilities

• Deliver presentations and live demos at trade shows, conferences, webinars, customer sites, technical events and meetups
• Support Sales with prospect demos and show what's possible
• Design models, scenarios and stories that bring Onshape to life
• Produce demo materials, scripts, tutorials and release videos
• Write blog posts, feature pages and competitive comparisons
• Showcase work on Onshape website and social channels
• Translate features into clear business benefits and value
• Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Technical Services and Product Development on launches and events
• Capture customer feedback for product teams
