Job summary

PTC Inc. is seeking an energetic Onshape Technical Training specialist to develop engaging training content, CAD models, documentation, and videos to teach product features.

You will become an Onshape product expert, deliver live and recorded training, and continually expand your skills while communicating complex engineering concepts clearly to diverse audiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical experience.
• Experience creating engineering training content and training materials.
• Experience with CAD, PDM, PLM, CAM, FEA or similar engineering software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Video creation experience with Camtasia or Adobe Premiere.

We are looking for an energetic, hard-working candidate to join the Onshape Technical Training team. Ideal candidates are well-spoken and have experience creating engaging training material. This includes creating CAD models, documentation, and video production, as well as creating and executing live and recorded product training. This role requires working knowledge in mechanical engineering and engineering applications (CAD, PDM, PLM, CAM, FEA, etc.) and the ability to convey our product differentiators effectively.

Primary Responsibilities

• Become an Onshape product expert and trusted advisor.
• Create realistic, detailed CAD models for training purposes.
• Create and execute live and recorded product training.
• Continuously develop new skills and learn new features and product offerings.

Requirements

• Experience with engineering software such as CAD, PDM, PLM, CAM, FEA, etc.
• Experience providing software product training.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Video creation experience with Camtasia, Adobe Premiere, or similar software.
• Experience with Thought Industries or a similar Learning Management System is ideal but not required.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical experience.
• 1-5 years working in an engineering role or role working for an engineering software company.

PTC carefully considers a wide variety of factors when determining compensation. The anticipated annual salary range for this position is between $70,000 - $85,000. The salary range reflects a good‑faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on a candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Additionally, candidates may be eligible for a performance‑based bonus.
