Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Senior Specialty Representative to connect with medical professionals, promote our products, and navigate the payer environment. You will implement the marketing plan and lead programs to achieve territory goals while maintaining strong customer relationships.

You will provide clinical product knowledge, communicate benefits, and collaborate with districts to maximize patient access and support ongoing education initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare / scientific field that is not sales related.
• OR Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare / scientific field that is not sales related.
• OR High school diploma / GED and 8 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare / scientific field that is not sales related.
• More than 3 years Sales, marketing and/or clinical experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, diagnostics, healthcare insurance, pharmacy services, healthcare medical device or medical supply industries.
• Product or hospital sales experience in oncology, cardiology, inflammation, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, bone health, respiratory, hematology, or infectious diseases; and the diseases and treatments involved with these specialties.
• Advanced influencing and relationship-building skills with a focus on sales outcomes.
• Local Market knowledge

Responsibilities

• Provide current and comprehensive knowledge of Amgen's products to medical professionals to drive appropriate utilization of the products.
• Deliver branded sales messages and conduct programs, scheduling and following up with medical educational programs.
• Develop relationships to service and manage accounts including customizing discussions based on customer needs and resolving reimbursement issues.
• Provide feedback on marketing strategy, analyze sales activities and develop territory plans with the District Manager.
• Partner with colleagues to share best practices and learn as a Senior Specialty Representative.
• Demonstrate passion for our products and uphold Amgen values across the sales cycle.
