Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Senior Specialty Representative to connect with medical professionals, sharing clinical knowledge and guiding them through the payer environment to optimize product utilization. The role targets Midland, Alpena, Traverse City, Muskegon territory with no relocation offered.

You will lead branded sales programs, build strong customer relationships, and collaborate across teams to advance Amgen’s portfolio in oncology, inflammation, and other therapeutic areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare / scientific field that is not sales related
• Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare / scientific field that is not sales related
• High school diploma / GED and 8 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare / scientific field that is not sales related
• More than 3 years’ Sales, marketing and/or clinical experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, diagnostics, healthcare insurance, pharmacy services, healthcare medical device or medical supply industries
• Product or hospital sales experience in oncology, cardiology, inflammation, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, bone health, respiratory, hematology, or infectious diseases

Responsibilities

• Provide current and comprehensive knowledge of Amgen's products to medical professionals to drive appropriate utilization
• Perform as a sales leader to achieve territory sales through branded messages and programs
• Develop relationships to service and manage accounts including discussing needs and resolving reimbursement issues
• Provide feedback on marketing strategy and develop territory plans with the District Manager
• Partner with colleagues to share best practices and learn
• Demonstrate passion for products and sustain it through the sales cycle
• Uphold Amgen values in all activities
