Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Risk Management and Insurance, Finance, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in property and casualty claims handling.
• AIC or other professional designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage an inventory of claims to evaluate compensability and liability.
• Plan and conduct claim investigations to confirm coverage and determine liability and damages.
• Negotiate settlements and reserves within assigned authority.
• Attend arbitrations, mediations, depositions, or trials as needed.
• Maintain accurate claim files and documentation.
• Communicate complex coverage information to insureds, claimants, and partners.
• Authorize payments within authority and ensure timely payments.
