Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a Senior BI Developer to build scalable analytics solutions, automate reporting, and translate operational workflows into data-driven insights. You will lead projects with minimal oversight, mentor teammates, and collaborate with DT and Data Science to sustain end-to-end BI capabilities.

The role emphasizes Databricks, PySpark, Power BI, and AI-assisted tooling to accelerate development and documentation while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Finance, Engineering, Operations, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years in business operations, data analytics, BI development, or process automation
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with a modern data/BI platform (e.g., Databricks, Power BI)
• Minimum 2 years of experience directly partnering with business/functional teams to define requirements or process improvements
• Minimum 1 year leading or serving as technical lead on a project or workstream

Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to understand operational processes and translate them into technical requirements before building solutions
• Contribute to process automation and data analytics projects using modern BI and data platforms
• Extract, cleanse, and blend data from internal and external sources
• Build and maintain automated workflows and pipelines in Databricks (SQL, PySpark, notebooks/jobs)
• Use AI coding assistants (e.g., Claude Code) to accelerate development, testing, and documentation of BI tools and automations
• Partner with DT and Data Science to expand and sustain solutions
• Create simple, direct, and actionable visualizations that guide users to action
• Lead project deliverables and deadlines with clear plans and status updates; mentor junior team members as needed
