Job summary

GE Aerospace seeks a Senior BI Developer to automate processes and scale analytics. You will translate operational workflows into technical requirements, blend data from diverse sources, and build clear, actionable visualizations using Databricks and Power BI.

The role demands mentoring teammates, leading projects with minimal oversight, and applying FLIGHT DECK principles for standard work and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Finance, Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years in business operations, data analytics, BI development, or process automation.
• Minimum 2 years with a modern data/BI platform (e.g., Databricks, Power BI).
• Minimum 2 years partnering with business/functional teams to define requirements or process improvements.
• Minimum 1 year leading or serving as technical lead on a project or workstream.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to translate operational processes into technical requirements.
• Contribute to process automation and data analytics projects using modern BI platforms.
• Extract, cleanse, and blend data from internal and external sources.
• Build and maintain automated workflows and pipelines in Databricks (SQL, PySpark, notebooks/jobs).
• Use AI coding assistants to accelerate development, testing, and documentation of BI tools and automations.
• Partner with DT and Data Science to expand and sustain solutions.
• Create simple, direct, actionable visualizations that guide users to action.
• Lead project deliverables and deadlines with clear plans and status updates; mentor junior team members.
