Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a Senior Backend Developer to design, build, and operate foundational backend platforms and shared services used by multiple engineering teams. This role emphasizes high throughput, scalable systems, and durable event processing with minimal operational toil.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years of backend/platform engineering experience, strong distributed-systems expertise, and proficiency in Java, Go, Scala, Rust, or modern C++.

Qualifications

• Six or more years of professional backend or platform engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
• Strong experience designing distributed systems with attention to consistency, availability, latency, and failure modes.
• Proficiency in a major backend language (Java, Go, Scala, Rust, or modern C++).
• Experience with high-throughput messaging/streaming architectures (Kafka, Pulsar, NATS).
• Leading multi-quarter platform initiatives and stakeholder management.
• Strong communication skills and ability to author design docs.
