Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and operate large-scale distributed backend services for mission-critical workloads. The role focuses on scalability, reliability, performance, and clean engineering practices.

You will architect core platforms, prioritize trade-offs between consistency, availability, and latency, and mentor engineers while collaborating with SRE and platform teams.

Qualifications

• Six or more years of professional backend engineering experience.
• Experience with distributed systems and high-throughput services.
• Proficient in Java, Go, or Scala.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong debugging and root-cause analysis.
• Excellent communication and mentorship skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement large-scale distributed backend systems using Java, Go, Scala, or similar high-performance languages.
• Architect data partitioning, replication, and consistency strategies.
• Build resilient APIs and event-driven services with observability and idempotency.
• Optimize systems for latency, throughput, and cost with profiling and load testing.
• Lead architecture reviews and technical design discussions.
• Mentor mid-level engineers and promote code quality and operational discipline.
• Collaborate with SRE and platform teams to improve reliability.
