xpate is hiring a hands-on Backend Developer to build and ship production serverless services for a fintech platform. You will design REST APIs, model data in DynamoDB and PostgreSQL, and ship event-driven workflows using SQS, EventBridge, and Step Functions.

This role emphasizes observability with Winston logging and AWS X-Ray tracing, testing with Mocha and Sinon, and clean code practices. You’ll work TypeScript/Node.js in Lambda-first microservices, with flexible hours and hybrid/remote

Qualifications

• Hands-on backend engineering in TypeScript/Node.js.
• Production AWS experience, Lambda-first architecture.
• Ability to ship fast with strong engineering fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve Lambda-first microservices for real money flows.
• Design REST APIs with type-safe schemas and durable contracts.
• Model data in DynamoDB and use PostgreSQL when relational fits.
• Ship event-driven workflows with SQS/EventBridge/Step Functions.
• Ensure observability with structured logging and distributed tracing.
