Job summary

Tsit Digital Technologies is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and maintain core cloud services using Node.js and TypeScript on AWS Lambda. You will own the backend ecosystem, drive architecture decisions, and ensure strong type-safety and scalable, event-driven design.

You will work with IaC tooling (AWS CDK, SAM, Serverless Framework), implement API integrations with API Gateway, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, optimize performance, and lead code reviews while mentoring teammates.

Qualifications

• 5–6 years of professional backend development experience.
• Extensive production experience with Node.js and modern TypeScript.
• Strong experience deploying workloads on AWS Lambda.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tooling.
• Proficiency with CI/CD deployment pipelines.
• NoSQL experience, specifically DynamoDB.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices using TypeScript and Node.js.
• Architect and deploy production-grade serverless components on AWS Lambda.
• Provision and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using AWS CDK, SAM, or Serverless Framework.
• Build robust event-driven integrations using API Gateway, SQS, SNS, and EventBridge.
• Optimize Lambda performance, including bundle size, memory, and cold starts.
• Establish structured logging, monitoring, and tracing across services.
• Lead code reviews, mentor teammates, and enforce backend engineering best practices.
