Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer for a remote position. You will join a team moving from reporting risks to actively enforcing security policies, sitting between verdicts and customer actions to warn or block unsafe installs and coordinate fleet actions.

The role focuses on TypeScript, Go, and Python backends, with a production platform running on cloud services. You will design secure, auditable flows and work with a small remote team to ship robust integrations and event-driven

Qualifications

• 3+ years of backend engineering experience with API integrations.
• Strong proficiency in TS/Go/Python and selecting the right tool for the problem.
• Experience building event-driven architectures and dependable workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead the initial four-week project to ship install interception for Claude Code.
• Build secure enforcement paths and record intercepted installs as events.
• Design robust integrations with security, infra or identity APIs.
• Build event-driven backends with queues, webhooks, retries and idempotency.
• Ensure privileged actions are safe with approval flows, audit logs and rollback.
• Possibly extend to fleet revocation across endpoints and browser controls.
