Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an experienced software engineer for a remote, full-time role supporting a confidential healthcare technology client. The role involves building production software using React, TypeScript, Python/Flask, PostgreSQL, and AWS, in collaboration with Product, Design, QA, and other engineers.

You will own features end-to-end, design APIs and integrations, deploy on AWS, and contribute to testing and quality.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with production systems.
• Strong hands-on with React and TypeScript for web apps.
• Backend experience with Python and Flask.
• Experience designing REST APIs and third-party integrations.
• Proven ability to own features end-to-end and mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Build and maintain production software across the platform.
• Design, deploy, and maintain AWS-based infrastructure.
• Lead technical design discussions and code reviews.
