Day One Partners is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer, Payments to join a profitable, high-growth consumer technology company. You will own backend systems powering subscriptions, payments, and the broader member experience, with a focus on Apple StoreKit 2, server-side billing, and scalable architecture.

You will collaborate across engineering, product, and cross-functional teams to design, build, and operate critical services that support a growing digital platform.

Formación

• 5+ years of professional backend software engineering experience.
• Strong production experience with Apple StoreKit 2.
• Deep understanding of server-side Apple payment infrastructure.
• Production experience with Stripe payments and subscriptions for a B2C product.
• Strong backend engineering fundamentals, including system design and distributed systems.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services supporting payments, subscriptions, and member lifecycle workflows.
• Own critical components of the payment infrastructure, including Apple StoreKit 2, App Store Server APIs, transaction verification, subscription management, and reconciliation.
• Drive technical projects end-to-end from architecture through deployment and operations.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, user-focused features.
• Improve backend performance, reliability, and maintainability through code reviews, CI/CD, observability, and best practices.
• Leverage AI development tools to improve engineering productivity while maintaining code quality.
