Job summary

Apple Inc. in Cary, North Carolina, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support Apple Pay provisioning. You will design, implement, and operate scalable backend services using Java/Kotlin and RESTful APIs, delivering robust features that power payments at scale.

Qualifications

Must have strong software engineering fundamentals.
Experience with scalable backend services and REST APIs.

Responsibilities

Implement and test new features for Apple Pay against specifications defined by the engineering team
Write thread-safe, performant, object-oriented, and inherently testable code
Build and maintain unit and integration test coverage for delivered work
Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and sprint planning with the team
Collaborate with client teams on feature integration and issue resolution
Debug and resolve defects in existing services, including production issues assigned during the engagement close
Document delivered components and hand off knowledge at engagement close
