The role centers on building a distributed core for moving, routing, and settling money across a global ecosystem, with emphasis on idempotency, auditability, and scalable, secure systems. You will partner with Platform Architects, Finance, Controllership, and Accounting to craft mission-critical backend services, including payment rails, sub-ledgers, and verification harnesses.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of Java ecosystem experience with Spring (Boot, MVC, Security, Data, Cloud)
• 6+ years in designing high-scale, fault-tolerant distributed systems
• 6+ years API design and implementation (REST, gRPC, GraphQL)
• 6+ years with messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• 6+ years with relational and NoSQL databases
• B.S. in CS/CE or equivalent professional experience

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate high-throughput distributed services across the transaction lifecycle
• Own data integrity end-to-end with immutable event streams and audit trails
• Model canonical financial data and versioned rule configurations for evolving business logic
• Lead architecture RFCs, review code, and mentor engineers across the team
