Qualifications

• Experience building agentic or large language model-based systems in production.
• Ability to navigate unfamiliar codebases and drive solutions to completion.
• Strong distributed systems knowledge including coordination, idempotency, and fault tolerance.

Responsibilities

• Identify friction across the software development lifecycle and scope agentic solutions.
• Design and build reliable AI-powered systems with step-by-step workflows and safety checks.
• Build and maintain evaluation tools to judge agent output for correctness and cost.
• Collaborate across GitLab's codebase to address friction wherever it exists.
• Consider concurrency, scale, and multi-tenant deployments to avoid failures.
