Oscar Health is seeking a Sr. Analyst for Authorization Services Design & Configuration. You will architect medical management workflows within the UM system, translating complex requirements into automated logic and guiding cross-functional partners on system impact.

A remote role suited for candidates in the US, with potential hybrid adjustments in the future. The position emphasizes systems thinking, collaboration, and problem solving across Product, Clinical, and Regulatory teams, reporting

Qualifications

2+ years in system configuration, business rules, or technical workflow design.
2+ years in a technical/operational role with root-cause analysis.
Intermediate+ Excel/Google Sheets (vlookups, pivot tables).
Experience assessing end-to-end process impacts in complex environments.
Strong communication to explain technical logic to non-technical partners.
1+ year healthcare payer or provider experience.

Responsibilities

Configure and maintain authorization workflows, rulesets, and automations in the UM platform.
Translate business requirements into precise technical specifications and test implementations.
Investigate escalations with root-cause analysis to identify remediation paths.
Document friction points and opportunities for workflow improvement and automation.
Educate cross-functional teams on how configuration affects operations and care decisions.
