Job summary

Kaplan, a global education and technology company, is seeking a Senior Manager, Art Director to lead a team of designers, shape creative strategy, and deliver branded designs for websites, digital media, video, email, and presentations.

This role requires strategic thinking, strong leadership, and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders to meet business objectives, while maintaining high quality and consistency across all brands in a fast-paced, remote-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in graphic design, digital design, visual communications, graphic arts or related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience leading a creative team
• Minimum 8 years of experience crafting and designing campaigns, email, videos, print marketing material, presentations, digital ads, websites, and social media assets, including responsive/mobile
• Strong strategic and conceptual thinking
• Ability to lead and manage a team of designers
• Proficiency in Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, After Effects, Acrobat Pro
• Proficiency in HTML, HTML5 and CSS
• Excellent problem solver
• Detail-oriented with leadership, motivation, organization, and communication
• Experience collaborating across teams in a remote environment with video calls
• Commitment to ongoing skills development and industry trends
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Experience with Exact Target a plus
• Familiarity with Asana a plus

Responsibilities

• Guide creative direction for projects and campaigns
• Develop creative strategy with VP Creative, Design Director and stakeholders
• Oversee growth and workloads of designers, review work and train
• Help set and meet team goals
• Conceptualize and deliver artwork that aligns with objectives and brand
• Collaborate with copywriters and designers to wow stakeholders and clients
• Ideate and design meaningful user experiences across media
• Communicate messages across print, digital, video and social channels
• Maintain knowledge of brands, products and design trends
• Ensure quality across all project phases
• Juggle multiple projects with timelines and expectations
• Understand project workflow and file management
