Job summary

Presidio is seeking a Principal Architect to lead the design and development of our internal Managed Services platform and related automations. You will work with the Product Owner and engineers to craft scalable, secure solutions, prototype concepts, pilot deployments, and document implementations.

The role emphasizes architecture leadership, collaboration with customers and IT stakeholders, and hands-on delivery using Python, DevOps tools, and modern infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or the equivalent work experience and/or military experience.
• Minimum of 6–9 years' experience in-depth architectural and technical knowledge for network infrastructure, security controls, virtualization, and cloud platforms.
• Strong scripting/programming experience with Python.
• Experience with DevOps technologies such as Git, Docker, Ansible, Python, APIs.
• Deep knowledge in Linux system administration & troubleshooting.
• Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated effective decision-making related to architecture and design.
• Effective communication skills.
• Must be a US Citizen.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to Engineering team focusing on platform integrations and automations.
• Identify areas to improve efficiency via automation within Managed Services.
• Author technical articles for knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with Presidio team members to address production security issues.
