Ladders is seeking a Senior Technical Software Architect to shape solution architecture for medium-to-high complexity initiatives, focusing on scalable distributed systems and enterprise standards. You will guide reference implementations and collaborate with engineering and architecture stakeholders to document designs and manage risks.

Remote role with the opportunity to drive performance, reliability, and long-term maintainability while strengthening internal technical knowledge across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in IT/CS.
• 5–7 years of software engineering with 4+ years in distributed systems.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and AI/ML.
• Expertise in API management, microservices, and distributed architectures.
• Familiarity with Salesforce, ServiceNow, and data warehousing practices.
• Experience with data architecture and governance.

Responsibilities

• Own solution designs for medium-to-high complexity features.
• Produce and maintain architecture artifacts (HLDs, context diagrams).
• Evaluate latency and throughput trade-offs.
• Drive reference implementations and proof-of-concepts.
• Govern design reviews and track risks and decisions; establish enterprise standards.
• Curate an internal knowledge base of capabilities and interdependencies.
