Job summary

Thumbtack is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accounting Associate to join our Accounting team. This remote role, based in the Philippines, follows a Pacific Time schedule. You’ll own accounts payable for multiple entities and ensure accurate, timely processing in a growing global operation.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in accounting with AP focus, a BA/Finance, strong US GAAP knowledge, andSharp attention to detail. CPA preferred; experience with NetSuite/Coupa/Navan is a plus.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of solid experience as an Accountant with focus on Accounts Payable.
• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP principles and financial reporting.
• CPA license is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Experience with AP in a shared services context is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform full cycle accounts payable for US, Canada, and Philippines entities.
• Ensure timely processing of payments and adherence to policies.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Manage employee expense report processing, reviews, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Assist in month-end close, bank reconciliations, and AP accruals.
• Support audits with documentation and explanations.
• Partner on finance systems changes and new tooling implementations.
