WEX Inc. is hiring a Senior Android Engineer to join our Mobility Mobile Engineering team. You will build and modernize our fleet-management apps for 250k+ users, collaborating with iOS engineers to deliver scalable, production-grade experiences.

You’ll drive Kotlin-first development, champion UI/UX, and own app health through analytics, testing, and performance insights while mentoring others and shaping platform patterns for the long term.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional Android development experience.
• Proficiency with Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Gradle, and dependency injection.
• Strong understanding of modern Android architecture patterns and modularization.

Responsibilities

• Drive technical direction and influence the design, development, testing, and release of mobile applications using modern Kotlin-first approaches.
• Champion UI/UX excellence by collaborating closely with product and design to deliver responsive, polished, and accessible user experiences.
• Monitor and improve production app health through crash analytics, performance metrics, and real-world usage insights.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, pairing sessions, knowledge sharing, and collaborative design discussions.
