Job summary

YO AI Labs is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a remote contractor role (~15 hours/week) to create reinforcement learning environments that evaluate AI models on software tasks using Model Context Protocol (MCP) tools.

You will design reproducible environments, deterministic verification, and reference solutions for bug fixing, feature implementation, codebase refactoring, and performance optimization.

Qualifications

• Experience building reinforcement learning environments for software engineering tasks.
• Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP) tools or similar frameworks is a plus.
• Strong algorithms and data structures knowledge.
• Proven experience debugging and fixing complex software issues.
• Experience with feature implementation and codebase refactoring.
• Ability to optimize performance and document outcomes clearly.
