Job summary

ShipBob is seeking a Senior AI Product Builder to own the end-to-end product loop for the Product and Inventory Experience domain. You’ll work with an AI-native pod to define specs, prototype AI-assisted solutions, and ship production PRs that drive measurable outcomes.

You’ll own the catalog and inventory data surface, set data contracts, and synthesize insights from experiments and customer research to inform roadmaps and architecture decisions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product management, product engineering, or equivalent experience with hands-on AI tool usage.
• Proven ability to write story/specs that AI tools can act on directly—state machines, business rules, data contracts.
• Technical fluency: read data models, evaluate API contracts, and ensure AI-generated code aligns with architecture.
• Track record of shipping working prototypes or production code, not just visuals.
• Strong ownership: define metrics and kill thresholds at spec time and track post-launch results.
• Experience in supply chain, fulfillment, logistics, or e-commerce tech.
• Excellent written communication: write specs, not meeting notes.

Responsibilities

• Own the full product loop end-to-end: AI-augmented discovery → story/spec → prototype → production PR → outcome measurement.
• Own the product catalog and inventory data surface end-to-end: SKUs, variants, bundles, lots, and channel sync; define data contracts and workflows.
• Run customer discovery; use AI to synthesize research across tickets, interviews, behavioral data, and competitive signals.
• Demonstrate deep functional and technical knowledge of owned products end-to-end; demo to merchants and partners.
• Use AI tools to analyze product metrics, identify usage patterns, and surface anomalies; define success metrics and kill thresholds at spec time.
• Maintain a prioritized roadmap ranked by impact × speed; synthesize intelligence for strategic inputs.
• Evaluate architectural fit without engineering translation; understand data structures and API usage.
• Route changes through prototype-then-PR; write clear story/specs and review AI-generated code.
• Set experiment hypotheses with explicit kill thresholds; make rollout/kill decisions on data.
• Participate in architecture reviews as product judgement; decide build-vs-buy-vs-defer.
• Additional duties as necessary.
