Job summary

ShipBob, Inc. is seeking a Senior AI Product Builder to own the full build loop for product and inventory domains, leveraging AI tools to generate specs, prototypes, and production-ready PRs.

You’ll work in an AI-native pod with engineers, owning discovery, specs, prototypes, and measurable outcomes. You will drive discovery, define data contracts for catalog and inventory data, and demonstrate deep domain knowledge across SKU data, variants, and channel sync.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in product management or product engineering with hands-on AI tooling usage.
• Ability to write story/specs that AI tools can act on directly (state machines, data contracts).
• Technical fluency: read data models, evaluate API contracts.
• Track record shipping prototypes or production code beyond designs.
• Excellent written communication and clear documentation.

Responsibilities

• Own full product loop end-to-end: AI-augmented discovery → story/spec → prototype → production PR → outcome measurement.
• Own the product catalog and inventory data surface end-to-end: SKUs, variants, bundles, lots, and channel sync.
• Run customer discovery yourself; synthesize research using tickets, interviews, data and competitive signals.
• Demo to merchants/partners; understand architecture, data boundaries, and differentiators.
• Use AI tooling to analyze metrics, define kill thresholds, and surface anomalies.
• Maintain a prioritized roadmap ranked by impact × speed using AI-driven insights.
• Evaluate fit with ShipBob’s architecture without engineering translation; define data contracts.
• Route changes through prototype-then-PR; write story/specs and review AI-generated code.
• Set experiment hypotheses with explicit kill thresholds and rollout/kill decisions.
• Participate in architecture reviews; act as product judgment on build-vs-buy-vs-defer.
