Job summary

ShipBob is seeking a Senior AI Product Builder to own the full build loop for AI-enabled product domains—from discovery to production PR and outcome measurement. You will work in an AI-native pod alongside engineers, reading ShipBob’s data model and crafting precise story/specs for AI tools to execute against the real codebase.

Your domain is Product and Inventory Experience, covering the catalog and inventory data surface across SKUs, variants, bundles, and channels.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product management, product engineering, or equivalent experience with hands-on AI tool usage.
• Ability to write story/specs that AI tools can act on directly — state machines, business rules, data contracts.
• Technical fluency: read a data model, evaluate an API contract, ensure AI-generated code aligns with architecture.
• Proven track record of shipping prototypes or production code, not just mockups.

Responsibilities

• Own the full product loop end-to-end: AI-augmented discovery → story/spec → prototype → production PR → outcome measurement.
• Own the product catalog and inventory data surface end-to-end: SKUs, variants, bundles, lots, and channel sync.
• Run customer discovery yourself; synthesize research across tickets, interviews, behavior data, and competitive signals.
• Demo to merchants and partners; understand competitive landscape and differentiators.
• Use AI tools to analyze product metrics, identify usage patterns, and define kill thresholds at spec time.
• Maintain a prioritized roadmap ranked by impact × speed using AI-driven insights.
