Job summary

ShipBob is hiring a Senior AI Product Builder to own the full build loop for the Product and Inventory Experience domain. You will work with an AI-native pod to translate specs into working code using tools like Claude Code and Driver.ai, and you will define data contracts for SKUs, variants, and inventory channels.

You will lead discovery, write precise specs for AI tooling, and measure outcomes with clearly defined success metrics.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product management, product engineering, or equivalent.
• Proven ability to write story/specs that AI tools can act on.
• Technical fluency: read data models and APIs.
• Track record shipping prototypes or production code.
• Strong outcome ownership with defined metrics at spec time.
• Experience in supply chain, fulfillment, logistics, or e‑commerce tech.
• Excellent written communication; write specs, not meeting notes.

Responsibilities

• Own the full product loop end-to-end: discovery → story/spec → prototype → production PR → outcome.
• Own the product catalog and inventory data surface end-to-end: SKUs, variants, bundles, channels.
• Run customer discovery and synthesize research with AI tools.
• Demo to merchants and partners; understand architecture and data contracts.
• Set hypotheses with kill thresholds and decide on day-7 rollout/kill.
• Participate in architecture reviews and ensure build-vs-buy-vs-defer decisions.
• Route changes through prototype-then-PR; review AI-generated code.
• Use AI to analyze metrics, surface anomalies, and define success thresholds.
