Elevance Health is seeking a Staff Vice President to lead Enterprise AI Governance, Risk & Operational Excellence. This executive will partner across Legal, Compliance, Risk, Security, Data, Technology, and the Business to embed governance into enterprise workflows, drive responsible AI, and enable measurable value realization.

Qualifications

• Experience with healthcare operations, health data, clinical or administrative AI use cases, and healthcare regulatory expectations.
• Experience governing third‑party AI products, cloud services, foundation models, vendors, and externally sourced data.
• Understanding of model risk management, data governance, cybersecurity, privacy engineering, product development, or software delivery practices.
• Experience with governance, risk and compliance platforms, workflow automation, control monitoring, analytics, and executive dashboards.
• Graduate degree in business, technology, risk, law, public policy, data science, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Enterprise AI Governance and Responsible AI: Own the enterprise operating model for Responsible AI with decision rights, risk-tiering, escalation, oversight, and monitoring.
• Regulatory Strategy, Compliance and Audit Readiness: Anticipate and operationalize federal/state requirements; produce clear enterprise requirements, controls, and evidence.
• Cross‑Enterprise Decision Leadership: Chair forums to resolve issues, define decision rights and accountability, drive documented decisions.
• Governance Automation and Operational Excellence: Redesign processes with workflow automation, dashboards, and AI-enabled decision support.
• Enterprise Risk and Control Management: Integrate AI governance with risk, privacy, cybersecurity, data governance, and third‑party risk.
• AI Enablement, Adoption and Value Realization: Enable safe AI usage, measure governance impact on adoption, productivity, and value.
• Executive Transparency and Governance Maturity: Provide concise reporting, build maturity roadmaps, maintain policy libraries, and empower a high-performing team.
