Job summary

Docker is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to set the technical direction for AI Developer Tools and a self-service platform. You will own architecture for AI-powered developer tools and host platforms that enable teams to prototype, deploy, and scale their own AI tooling.

You will report to the Senior Manager, AI Developer Tools, and collaborate with principal engineers, product teams, and infrastructure across Docker.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering with leadership on production systems at scale.
• Hands-on with LLM-powered apps, AI agents, or developer tools.
• Experience with cloud-native infra, Kubernetes, observability, and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction and architecture for AI-powered tools and self-service platform.
• Define patterns and best practices for LLM integration and agent orchestration.
• Lead cross-team delivery and mentor engineers.
• Participate in on-call rotation as needed.
