Job summary

Eliza is seeking a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer, Cyber to build and deploy AI-enabled security solutions for customers. You will own engineering decisions, work across discovery, architecture, integration, deployment, evaluation, and handover, and collaborate with security practitioners, engineering teams, and delivery partners.

This is a remote role with substantial autonomy and direct client contact. Ideal candidates bring deep cybersecurity expertise, strong software engineering skills,

Qualifications

• Deep practical cybersecurity expertise with hands-on blue-team experience and demonstrated outcomes.
• Strong production code, integrations, debugging, testing, and maintainable system design.
• Practical AI fluency, including use of AI development tools and model evaluation judgment.
• Experience deploying and troubleshooting software in cloud or customer-hosted environments.
• Clear customer-facing communication and ability to translate needs into technical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery with customer security and engineering teams to understand workflows, data, and constraints.
• Write, review, and debug production software that connects models, telemetry, and security systems.
• Own deployment and troubleshooting with customer owners, including CI/CD and monitoring.
• Threat-model AI-enabled workflows and test failure scenarios before production demos.
• Explain architecture, risks, and tradeoffs to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Produce documentation and runbooks for knowledge transfer and handover.
