Job summary

UnitedHealth Group in the U.S. seeks a Senior Clinical Product Lead for AI & Product Office to guide enterprise AI-enabled health products from concept to patient care. You will translate clinical needs into product requirements and shape the roadmap with CAIPO, coordinating care teams across markets.

You will ensure clinical safety and meaningful outcomes, partner with engineering, data, security, legal, and deployment teams, and drive adoption. This is a remote role within the U.S.

Qualifications

• Licensed clinician (MD, DO, NP, PA, or RN) with direct patient care experience.
• 5+ years working on clinical product, clinical informatics, or health technology with product/engineering teams.
• Experience in healthcare industry and/or within a large, complex organization.
• Experience using AI tools in your work and building with them (agent, automation, or large language model).
• Experience defining clinical requirements or safety criteria for a technology product and launching.
• Ability to operate at enterprise and market levels, identifying decision ownership.
• Strong writing skills; decisions and findings are documented.
• Ability to build relationships across the organization and lead without direct report.
• Proficiency with GitHub and AI coding/agent tools.
• Experience as a senior contributor owning hard problems end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Design AI-enabled products with clinical input from problem definition to launch.
• Involve local market care teams in kaizen events and design sessions.
• Translate clinical workflows into buildable requirements.
• Define enterprise vs market scope for clinical decisions.
• Define clinical success metrics and evaluate outcomes.
• Coordinate governance and safety reviews for AI features.
• Collaborate with tech, data, security, legal, privacy, and compliance.
• Lead clinical education and adoption across markets.
• Write weekly learnings for decision making.
