As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will design AI agents, own eval datasets, refine prompts, and ensure safe tool calls while collaborating with product and frontend teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend or full-stack development with agentic AI/LLM apps.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Experience with LLMs in production systems.
• Strong prompt engineering and API integration skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design AI agents and orchestration with sub-agent architecture.
• Own eval-driven development with datasets and evaluators.
• Refine prompts and model configurations as artifacts.
• Integrate agents with MCP servers and tool contracts.
• Instrument tracing, metrics, and cost tracking.
• Collaborate with product and frontend teams to deliver UX.
• Prototype quickly and scale to GA with robustness.
• Mentor other engineers in agent engineering practices.
