EQUS is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to own the AI assistant layer end to end, guiding architecture, standards, and service contracts across security, storage, and front-end teams.

You will focus on privacy, safety, and cost, with responsibilities spanning LLM integration, evaluation, and production monitoring. This role emphasizes architectural leadership and mentorship within a US-based, remote team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software engineering with AI product shipping experience.
• 2+ years building and shipping production AI systems.
• Strong Python skills; Node.js or .NET a plus.
• Hands-on with context augmentation systems and vector RAG.
• Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or LangGraph.

Responsibilities

• Own AI assistant layer end to end: architecture, standards, and service contracts.
• Design context augmentation pipelines and retrieval architectures.
• Integrate and manage LLM APIs and multi-agent systems.
• Build evaluation frameworks for quality, relevance, and safety.
• Ensure privacy, security, and data protection across systems.
