Job summary

The role requires expert actuarial knowledge across areas, strong communication, budgeting, and the ability to build compelling business cases and ROI analyses; telecommute within the continental US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or Economics.
• FSA and MAAA credentials (or ASA with 4 years in health actuarial work).
• 7+ years of actuarial experience in health insurance.
• Verbal and written communications skills to prepare effective documentation, facilitate training and presentations.
• PC proficiency to include Word and Excel; budgeting experience.
• Translating needs into compelling business cases and conducting cost-benefit analyses.

Responsibilities

• Directs highly complicated work teams and manages long-term projects and work streams.
• Ensures appropriate modeling and drives strategy for tools, technology and resources.
• Monitors compliance with applicable requirements and Actuarial Standards of Practice.
• Communicates effectively across the company and with external parties; presents to senior leadership.
• Develops and maintains key relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
