Job summary

Ally Financial is seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst to develop and support a robust reserving framework for Ally Insurance in a Detroit-hybrid setting. The role leads projects end-to-end, delivering advanced analytics and clear communication to Management and Senior Leadership.

Ideal candidates bring ACAS progress, 4+ years in actuarial or data science, strong SQL/R skills, and the ability to adapt priorities.

Qualifications

• ACAS or near ACAS preferred; 5 or more Casualty Actuarial Society exams required.
• 4+ years of experience in actuarial or data science roles; exposure to advanced ratemaking and/or reserving a plus.
• Ability to adapt to change and adjust priorities quickly, as necessary and appropriate.
• Strong communication and relationship building skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support a robust reserving framework for insurance business.
• Lead projects from start to finish; brainstorm, execute advanced analytics, and communicate results to management.
• Develop reserve indications, produce reserve ranges, and perform advanced analytics.
• Collaborate with product development, pricing, and reserving processes.
• Foster innovation within the team and across the organization.
