Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Senior Manager, Accounting to lead core accounting operations in a high-growth, transaction-heavy environment. You will partner with finance leadership, auditors, tax advisors, engineers, and product managers to translate business activity into a robust accounting framework.

The role emphasizes automation, strong controls, and scalable processes to support growth and reliable reporting. Remote work is offered with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience with leadership in a high-growth fintech.
• Active US CPA or CPA Canada designation.
• Deep expertise in US GAAP, incl. revenue recognition and customer funds.
• Working fluency with AI tools for accounting and automation workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own the financial statements from close to delivery, ensuring GAAP compliance.
• Lead build-out of cloud ERP system with automated transaction posting rules and controls.
• Redesign ledger and chart of accounts to align with operations and flows.
• Prepare for audits, document processes, and serve as primary auditor contact.
• Research complex transactions under US GAAP and translate to accounting policies.
• Drive AI adoption and automation across accounting processes.
• Build and maintain a control framework for audits and diligence.
• Deliver month-end reporting packages to CFO with variance analysis.
• Manage relationships with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Lead and develop a high-performing accounting team.
