Job summary

LevelUp is seeking a Senior Accountant for a 6-month remote contract to support the US-based client through year-end close and audit season. You will own accruals, assist with month-end and year-end close, and prepare financial statements.

Strong Excel, attention to detail, and independence are required. The role requires US GAAP knowledge, prior experience in audits or external reporting, and the ability to work a late US schedule from the Philippines.

Qualifications

• Senior-level accounting experience (4+ years) or external audit background.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP with experience supporting US-based companies.
• Owns accruals and supports month- and year-end close processes.
• Experience preparing audit support and financial statements with accuracy.
• Proficient in Excel: Pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, complex workbooks.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly accruals process by reviewing POs and contracts to determine accruals.
• Support month-end and year-end close to ensure books are accurate and closed on time.
• Prepare interim and year-end audit documentation and reports.
• Assist in preparing financial statements with numbers that tie out.
• Prepare stock option roll-forwards using Carta reports for financial statements.
• Investigate balances using prior-year work papers and replicate for current year.
• Support revenue-related accounting as needed.
