Job summary

BenchPrep is seeking a Staff/Senior Accountant to support our growing finance team. You will maintain accurate financial records, prepare reports, analyze data, and ensure regulatory compliance.

The role includes budgeting, forecasting, audits, and process improvements, reporting to the Controller in a remote setup. The ideal candidate has a strong accounting background with knowledge of GAAP and revenue recognition, plus excellent analytical skills and communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA preferred.
• 3–5 years (Staff Accountant) or 5–8 years (Sr Accountant) in accounting or auditing; public accounting experience preferred.
• Strong communication, analytical, and GAAP knowledge; ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting function including account reconciliations, journal entries, AR, AP, and Billing.
• Analyze expenditures and report to departments; ensure proper allocation of expenses.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and revenue recognition.
• Prepare financial statements and budget variance analyses; assist in budgets.

Education
