Job summary

BenchPrep is seeking a Staff/Senior Accountant to support its growing operations in a remote capacity. You’ll maintain accurate financial records, prepare reports, and drive analyses to support budgeting, forecasting, audits, and process improvements.

The ideal candidate has 3–8 years in accounting, strong GAAP and revenue recognition knowledge, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently within a team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting; CPA preferred.
• 3–5 years in accounting or auditing; public accounting experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and revenue recognition.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting function including reconciliations, journal entries, AR, AP, and Billing.
• Review transactions to ensure GAAP compliance and company policies.
• Analyze expenditures and proper allocation of expenses to departments; report as needed.
• Prepare financial statements: balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow changes.
• Assist in budgeting and variance analysis; assist in year-end tax schedules.
