Job summary

BenchPrep is seeking a Staff/Senior Accountant to support finance, maintain accurate records, prepare reports, analyze data, and ensure regulatory compliance. You’ll contribute to budgeting, forecasting, audits, and process improvements under the Controller.

The role focuses on reconciliations, journal entries, billings, and cost analysis across departments; strong accounting background and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA preferred.
• 3–5 years (Staff Accountant) or 5–8 years (Sr Accountant) in accounting or auditing; public accounting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of financial statement preparation, GAAP, and revenue recognition.
• Excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting function including reconciliations, journal entries, AR, AP, and billing.
• Analyze expenses and report allocations to departments.
• Review transactions for GAAP compliance and proper revenue recognition.
• Prepare year-end schedules for tax returns and assist in budgets.
• Support design and preparation of budgets; assist in financial statements.
