Job summary

BenchPrep is hiring a Staff/Senior Accountant for a fully remote role reporting to the Controller. You’ll maintain ledgers, perform reconciliations, and support budgeting, audits, and tax schedules.

The ideal candidate has a CPA preferred, 3–8 years in accounting, and strong GAAP knowledge with Excel mastery. This position offers a competitive salary and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA preferred.
• 3–5 years in accounting or auditing (Staff Accountant) or 5–8 years (Sr Accountant).
• Experience with GAAP, revenue recognition, and financial reporting.
• Strong communication and analytical skills; detail oriented and deadline driven.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accounting records and perform journal entries.
• Reconcile accounts and manage AR/AP and billing processes.
• Prepare financial statements and budget variance analysis.
• Assist in audits, tax schedules, and year-end work.
