Higher Options is seeking a Senior Accountant / Financial Controller to bolster our U.S.-based hospitality and events brands. The role focuses on maintaining clean QuickBooks Online records, ensuring accurate financial statements, and providing insightful analysis for growth.

Qualificações

• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online and clean bookkeeping.
• Strong knowledge of P&L and balance sheet relationships.
• Ability to explain the logic behind transaction classifications.
• Analytical skills to compare month‑to‑month results and flag discrepancies.
• Experience with multi-entity accounting and reconciliations.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and month-end close processes.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Clear written and verbal English communication.
• Comfortable working remotely with U.S.-based teams.
• Experience with Google Workspace, Slack, Asana, Loom and payroll/accounting platforms.

Responsabilidades

• Own and maintain accurate accounting records in QuickBooks Online.
• Review and classify transactions with impact on income statement and balance sheet.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements across entities.
• Analyze month-over-month results and flag unusual fluctuations.
• Reconcile bank, balance sheet, intercompany, and other accounts.
• Lead month-end and year-end close with accuracy and timeliness.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Support payroll review and related reporting across entities.
• Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting needs.
• Maintain inventory, COGS, fixed assets, and general ledger records.
• Support tax compliance and audit readiness, coordinate with external advisors.
• Improve accounting workflows and SOPs.
• Provide clear financial insight to founders and leadership.
